Malaysian Doctors = Trash?

I recently stumbled upon a blog written by a pharmacist who is still trying to be nice to the ultra superiority complex of Malaysian doctors. Damm, no wonder cytusm calls me a pseudopharmacist. I am really starting to sound like one. Like I said, that fella, PalmDoc can ban me, but I will continue to write and write so that I can shame all those doctors who have this superiority complex to acknowledge the fact that everyone breath the same polluted air. My IQ is higher than most of you, but yet I am not shaming you. I got almost 100% TER on my HSC but yet, I don’t use that to push you down. I went to one of the top medical schools in Australia and was accepted by some of the best medical school in UK even though I was only 17 then and did not flunk any papers in medical school be it written, long or short case. So if anything, I am superior than 99% of you fellas but yet I don’t understand why you still want to debate with me. It is moments like this that I am glad I am no longer in the profession. Because it is rather shameful. I have left this profession some 15 years ago. For the selected few doctor bloggers that know me, I am sure you had been verbally informed by me that I would continue these posts until PalmDoc retract his post on his error, establish links to my posts so that readers will have a better understanding of the whole issue and that cytusm would acknowledge that he truly has no idea what dispensing separation is (Malaysian hospital system with dispensing separation is a joke and not what the other countries practise).

The blog which I stumbled upon, belongs to a pharmacist named Mark, who seems to be intent on working together with doctors. It is a great idea but if the other party ain’t receptive, then it will always remain as an idea. The problem is everyone in question including PalmDoc who had worked in a dispensing separation environment doesn’t even know what dispensing separation actually is (though PalmDoc does support the motion for dispensing separation). They kept on harping and trumpeting that there are too many unethical pharmacists around. Damm, do you know how many unethical doctors are around? nevermind, that’s another issue. They harp and harp that if pharmacists can prescribe (note the word prescribe) then imagine what they would do if they are given dispensing rights. Wah liao, really doctors damm stupid or what. How much do they know about dispensing separation. Worse would be PalmDoc who claimed (i know he did) to work in environment overseas with dispensing separation.

Ok, I will repeat it one more time. This time really slowly and clearly, so that those mentally retarded doctors can UNDERSTAND.

It is AGAINST the LAW to CHANGE PRESCRIPTION. Meaning if any pharmacist caught changing prescription without a doctor’s approval and subsequently reissue a new prescription, the pharmacist will be in big trouble with the law. But if the doctor is slow in replacing the prescription and the patient does depend on the medication, the doctor is in really big trouble. Now, even those of you who are not in this profession, tell me, who eventually wins in this situation? The patient of course. And believe me, the cost of medication and overall health care would DROP when such system are in place. How many of you actually know the difference between generic medication and original medication? Most wouldn’t. i find it rather surprising that some doctors in the system cannot even tell the difference. And let me ask you, would you prefer original parts or comparable parts for your prized BMW? Not too hard to understand right?

But the UNETHICAL DOCTORS (google loves me for using that two words) in Malaysia would have you believe that they are giving you a miracle cure which probably cost them like a couple of ringgits (from likes of Ranbaxy) and then charge you RM50 for it. If doctors had set a consultation fee at RM15-20 (which is what it is in most other developed countries, ringgit to dollar) then perhaps the total cost of treatment would be reduced by 50%. Amazing isn’t it? So what is going on? Doctors are telling you that it is in the PATIENT’s BEST INTEREST to support doctors dispensing (most are done by those who might even failed SPM). And no, you won’t get counselling with that. I tried asking a nurse once for my foreign worker (whom I brought to clinic) what medication she is giving the patient. She said “anti-bengkak”. Then I asked what kind of “anti-bengkak”. She looked at me weirdly and went to ask the doctor. The response from the doctor? “Anti-bengkak kan kurangkan bengkak” Omigod… this doctor went to an Indian medical school ah?

If you look at Mark’s blog, there is this super interesting conversation (which makes both parties look like immature kids forgetting about the PATIENT). It reminds me when I was in kindergarten, I was arguing with my best buddy (till today) about whether or not we are able to build a super car that we can drive to Vladivostok just because we love that name. Of course he was a bit worried when our plan included using his fierce father’s nice alfa romeo.

I shiver to think what kind of comic system we have in place to see this doctor (who cannot be contacted nor return call - due to his presumed superiority which you can read from the way he wrote) playing politics even if it is at the expense of the poor patient. If you happen to read this, you have just been awarded Fat4 award of Dumbest Sperm That Made It To The Egg Alive. My god, you should refer back to your alma mater and get them to tear up your degree. Shame on you.

Truly, Malaysian doctors who had poor knowledge of what dispensing separation is all about should seriously REFRAIN from commenting on it. Let those who knows (and will definitely support) comment on it. Shame on you PalmDoc. Shame on you Malaysian Medical Resources. Shame on you.

Stumbled upon your blog. To generalize like that is quite unfair. I visit the Malaysian Medical Resources quite often and it is a mine of information. If you have been banned it is likely for good reason. Your posts are full of vitriolic and hypocrisy. I don’t expect you to even publish this comment. Good day.

Ok, yours is the first of the anonymous comment I have published. Though I don’t know you but since you are from US, I thought it would be fair for readers to look at both side of arguments. Give me a day, I might be able to find out who you might be. I do hope I cannot find out, otherwise you would too be classified as a coward by me for not revealling yourself.

Just to correct you, PalmDoc pettily banned me because I told him one of his view points was wrong. His ego was too big to accept it. You can read more in my blog, and you will realise I wasn’t wrong in pointing out. It is good to see doctors now coming out in support of either cytusm or palmdoc. Like I have said, doctors will blindly support another and would appreciate if you truly read through what I have written (you have read through 11 pages in 10 minutes which was too short to read in depth). If palmdoc can spend 3 hours reading, cytusm 1 hour, I am sure you could do better to get to know my blog better.

You are not too honest yourself either. You said that you stumbled on my blog, which ain’t true. I won’t reveal my method so that others cannot take precautionary methods. So you aren’t totally honest yourself.

You said, I generalised too much, to which I agree. But when either cytusm or palmdoc generalised, you were not there to say anything. I supposed you of all people (since you practised in a dispensing separation country) will know the benefit unlike stubborn cytusm (whose experience is limited to India and Malaysia government services). Talk sense I will, only when others do. Otherwise it will always be the MPD fat4 against the two of them. Cheers.
