It is unfortunate that any patients should develop any adverse drug reactions. Though allergies have always been an important part of history taking, it somehow gets shafted in Malaysia. I have never seen doctors asking me that question. Not that I am allergic to anything. Nowadays I hide behind my pseudo doctor pseudo pharmacist mask and look at how doctors in Malaysia operates.
Cytusm himself posted the above. And yet, I don’t know if he wittingly knows or doesn’t know that he has shown the world how bad doctors in Malaysia can be. When was the last time you went to see a doctor? How was your medication labelled? It will surely tell you anti-inflammatory, pain/sakit, etc. Well from the look of the distort labelling chances are the pills are NSAIDs.
In Cytusm chosen field of specialty, dermatology, it can be seen as the worst culprit in poor labelling. From the beginning I have cursed many dermatologist on their reluctance in labelling creams, because they know once they start truthfully label their 50sen creams, patients will no longer wants to buy it from them for RM100. Yes, that’s how dirty and greedy some of these b******s are. They are just plain greedy and protectively. Just like how MMR always attempt to fight for better pay for doctors in public practise. It somehow seems so distant to them that not very long ago, just prior of them fully graduating, they have gone on the record to recite the Hypocrites Oaths. My apologies, I meant the Hippocratic Oaths.
They have lost their direction and now they are just as good as any other businessmen who would pounce on you if you have money. There was even this doctor who would give out generic drugs but labellled them as expensive original medications. Why are doctors so unethical? Can’t you all work together and help release the burden of those who are marginally capable of paying you whilst you continued living in your bungalows and driving your european cars? Worst are those who would then go on talking about ethics and how foreign workers should receive treatment or not. Hypocrites they are. Yep, no other words can describe them.
But I know, it will be a lonely battle for me as most people (including one blogger who had asked me not to write against doctors, cause they may work as a group to discredit me) wouldn’t dare to question doctors even. Doctors are also human beings just like you and me. In other countries, doctors have to work according to tough standards and work in benefits of patients. Not so in Malaysia, where doctors rampantly practise money medicine and make plenty out of it and keep on telling others how they are not being paid well. So come on fellas, write up and we will probably get the services we want. Not the pitiful services they have given us so far.
