It is amazing how someone can criticise someone else like this. Quite appropriately though, coz the writer of that article did commit a grammar error.
Then on this article, selective reading or pure deficient literacy ability? Wait, let me put a disclaimer on that. By no mean am I a language police or watchdog, coz my grammar sucks. it’s true. But my english teachers have alway encourage me. Though grammar is very important, but it is the ability to transmit the information that is more important.
Okay, you might say, why am i critising the second article. Come on, read carefully and tell me what you think of this sentence:
“From RM12 billion this year, we can look forward to more when we get our act together in terms of production, research and development (R&D), clinical trials and marketing,” he told Bernama.
Then you look at how the author of MMR criticise that sentence:
Staggering amount isn’t it. I find it also amazing people can in one breath say “clinical trials and marketing” as though both can go hand in hand at the same time. Shouldn’t clinical trials to prove or disprove efficacy come before marketing? I guess it doesn’t matter when the sole object is $$$$.
wooo hooooo… isn’t that what I have been telling you guys all along about unethical doctors who wants to make more money? Greedy, greedy, greedy. Perhaps it takes one to know one. The point is, you read carefully the first sentence and you will realise how the author of MMR has erred. The fella was talking about 4 different things. Yes 4 (FOUR, SHI, EMPAT, SI, IV) different issues. It talked about production and manufacturing ONE, R&D TWO, Clinical trials THREE and Marketing FOUR. Yes four different things. So does that mean that that fella is such an idiot coz he wants to manufacture while he was R&D-ing the thingy and before he even manage to “invent” a product, oh, and he even gets to run clinical trials (without a finish product) and even better, sell that unfinish product, because our kementerian gives approval on an unknown unfinished product. Hmmmm.. selective reading and understanding?
What amazes me even more are the doctors who might have read that article and not point out the mistake. My god, what happened to the teaching of how to read medical journals in medical school? I don’t know about other medical schools, but at least mine i know forces us to read and read and actually “understand” on how to read critically. For such a basic mistake, I am appalled. Hopefully, you do not selectively read your medical journal.
For someone who is sooooooo keen on criticising others, it is time you kena criticised as well. But you are one hell of a lucky person, coz i know, no doctors in Malaysia has the balls to come here and leave comment against you. Perhaps a couple of brave souls might come here and tell me off. But please, you have promoted really bad posts by cytusm in the past, i thought it was perhaps you wanna help a fellow doctors (hmmm.. how come you don’t promote my posts? hehehe) but now having seen how you write things, it sort of send shivers down my spine. So please, acknowledge the above, or perhaps even take that post down, before the person whom you criticise send a professionally written letter to ask you to take it down.
Cheers.

Regardless of position, I believe all ppl are same. They have one common purpose is to earn big bucks for their life. I dun mean everyone, but there are such people.
Yes, very true. But with other occupations, they are open about wanting to make your money and in some occupations, they will openly rip you off your money, eg. AP industry. But doctors are a different breed. If you read MMR, you will realise how they kept debating on ethical issues on how government should pay them more, should use more taxpayer moneys on discrimated patients, etc. But never once they will talk about using their own money and help the poor. Hypocrites I call them.
