As the days draw closers, even YB Jeff Ooi is talking about it that it is not a matter of how but when the event will take place. Well, this is my personal take on the matter. Just as much as oppositions would hate to see how BN would try to lure opposition camps into the government, I believe the Rakyat may not want to see how PR will attempt to do similar underhand political moves. It is not democratic. Fact is what you get would only be MPs who are not only disloyal to the party they have campaigned for, but the rakyat had been hoodwinked by the YBs so that they can further their political interests.
If PR is keen on playing such games, i think the rakyat may be force to return BN to power the next election around. And if so, all these changes that we have seen since the march 8th election will go down the drain. There are so many negative news of how BN is tightening the purse on opposition states. News of how opposition leaders are giving rakyat the title to the land their houses are built upon. These are all positive and will serve to help PR fight to a dual party system. But by playing underhand (which I think most would agree that Anwar is very good at) will only bring out the fear of rakyat in such leaders. They will do ANYTHING to further their own interests. And when they have their own interests, would we be at their mercy? What difference would it be then, if we are under BN?
Come on, PR, let nature takes its own course. You are strong today and you will be stronger in future. Let’s not get down and dirty.
