It is an interesting scenario. It is a known fact that this 2008 malaysia elections battleground was most fiercely fought over the internet. The incumbent government felt that there was no point looking at this new form of battle and stick to traditional medias (whom rakyat perceives as medium of deception) not that internet medium are angels and truth bearers. Frankly, I have written once before, I couldn’t even write anything bipartisan online because the extreme opposition would have a field day commenting on my post on how blind I am with Barisan nasional. No cookies were given to me for things I have written that are good about the alternative side.
I was told by a reader that there is no way you can find bipartisan with no bias views blogs online. I think he is quite right in that regard. It is also interesting that another blogger commented to me how there are many alternative parties leaders with blogs (including YB Lim Kit Siang himself and his update frequencies would put many bloggers to shame) and there were almost none on the BN side. Forget about those last minute pseudo blogger type blog from BN.
Blogging is essentially a good tool for dissemination of information without censorship. Good to know that the BN government was instrumental in giving the rakyat this priviledge. Good things must be said. Take a good look at Singapore. Infamous blogger, Mr Brown was sacked from his paid position in a government linked media company because he wrote some critical stuffs about the government. Would the people of singapore voted him in if he stood for election? I believe that with the Malaysians showing the Singaporeans that yes it is possible to change, I believe and urged him to stand for the next election.
The days of paternalistic government is over. The government no matter how big and strong works for the people and the benefit of all its people. Perhaps if you want to be a politician in future, start blogging now.

You are not doing mrbrown justice by describing him as infamous! He is very well-received by local netizens
the only freedom of “speech” we have in our country at the moment.
The journalist seem to be awakening in many editors, post election as opposed to the role of Gov PR exec they have been playing for so long I wondered if there were any journalist in them left.
