One of the biggest factor which helped fuelled the current change in Malaysia political landscape had been use of internet as a medium for alternative sources of information. It seems that the main stream media (MSM) had not been truly accurate in reporting news which matters. Afterall, the photo evidence of a massive crowd gathering in Penang that had been massively propogated across the internet had shown how MSM could just take a look at the other direction. For that, I think they have failed really badly in their duty for the people who trusted on them to provide reliable source of information.
Perhaps with a changing political landscape we can hope to expect the newspapers and other MSM to be more vocal and provide thought provoking questions on how the country is run from now on. For 50 years, we have been led to believe that this country should be run like how our grandfathers would want it to run. It is good to see that this mantra can be slowly evoke away in our present generation. Again, I repeat, I have never thought that in my life time i could witness such changes in our political landscape. Check and countercheck would be a more common thing from now on. BN will not take their wins for granted any more. Any election or by elections for that matter will be taken very seriously. No point playing the “games” but to concentrate on giving to people.
The people have received heaps of information from internet about the changing wind directions. My blog has been so far slightly pro-BN and majorly pro-PAS but has always been in favour of changes. I am still not certain if I can accept PKR as a major party. I believe they won not because people voted them in, but rather people had voted against BN to pave the way in for them.
Perhaps from now on, BN will be more determine to go online and to give their version of the story to the people. To be more people friendly and to change their policies in favour of what people want rather than for the benefits of the minority few. Future elections might very well be determined over the internet.

Yes. Almost all the votes for against BN and not all in favour of Oppositions.
It is good a starting point for all the people in Malaysia as both winning parties and lossing parties will work twice as hard for the next general election if the winners still want to retain their seats and likewise, for the lossers, if they are eager to regain their seats.
It is a check and balance system. As long as it is fair, everybody will accept it.
