Yep. That time of the year is just around the corner. About a week after the big chinese new year day. So for those who are not married, a good time to collect ang pow so that some of you may stupidly go waste it on some over commercialised day. I blogged about this every year and will continue to do so as I would love to see how the media will tell you how important the day is and best of all, you actually buy it.
So which idiot will be sending a bouquet of 99 roses (or maybe even more) at a way inflated price of maybe RM5 per rose? Or how many idiots would reserve a seat at the poshest restaurant so that you could impress your date and maybe get a quickie post valentines day celebration?
Year in, year out, and we see thousands of couples flocked to overbook restaurants. And each and every year during the same time, my missus and I will continue to celebrate the day in McDonalds over some 2 pieces spicy fried chicken at McDonalds. No flowers given but a card hand made by one another.
So guys, what are your plans for this coming V Day?

I celebrate it later:
1. More affordable since there isn’t any price hike. More for me.
2. No frustrations of waiting in queue.
will nvr celebrate ..peace
it’s just lame and somewhat foolish that almost everyone rushes to buy overpriced flowers ON that day for their partners/GFs when they could probably buy a few bouquets of flowers with the same amount of $$ before and after V-day…
Commercialism aside, V day is one hell of an excuse for married people to get some pressies. Yes, when you’re married long enough, you do need all the excuse you can find to get a little attention.
I know those flowers are ridiculously pricey. Just buy a few days before and chuck it inside the fridge. It’ll last.
dear all,
I guess we are all in the same line of thoughts. At least for one, I believe non of us will be celebrating it on the day itself. People who celebrate it probably won’t comment about it, hehehe

Cheers, have a happy non-valentines day all
